![]() I'm asking for your feedback in a specific area today, girls. The bit I'm including about relationship problems got me thinking. I thought we'd start a regular feature where we include someone's relationship problem, and the solutions you send in. For example, one reader has written me asking about what to do when your friend is obsessed with a guy who isn't interested. Is there anyone out there willing to take up the call for advice?
Now, this idea will only work if you send in some answers. Keep them
friendly and polite, please! There's already one Dr. Laura in the
world! I'll look your responses over, and include some of them in the
next issue with the next question. If this idea works, I'll
keep it rolling, so send in your questions, too! This is your
chance to get heard!
The leaves have all dropped off the trees outside my office windows. Winter is coming, though the temperature where I live doesn't show it (75 F and humid today, again!). Most of us still have a lot of fall weather left, so this issue includes some info about the hottest lip colors for this newly-chilly season. If you have any great sites to recommend or comments on what you would like to see in this newsletter, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Betsy Boyd and Amy Taylor Co-Editors, FemmeJolie When Prince Charming Isn't... What happens when your knight in shining armor, isn't shining quite so brightly anymore? His jokes just aren't as funny and his cute little idiosyncrasies have become just plain annoying. This usually means he wasn't the right one from the very beginning, it just took you a little while to figure that out. --A.T. He's not the one Can't Wait for The Magazines?

This fall, a major (and not-scary) makeup trend is nude lips. I seem to have been a bit ahead of the curve since I've been wearing the same Origins Clovebud every day for years. Just keep the lipliner to a minimum, and make sure you start from soft, moisturized lips. Nude looks nasty if your lips are flaky. The great thing about this style is that once you find the right color for you, EVERYONE can look good in it, and you run very little "O-my-god-I-look-like-a- tramp" risk. Of course, if that's the look you're going for, there's a great current look out there for you, too. I mean, I go nude during the day, but at night I'm all about deep red. That's a hot look this fall, too. For once in my life, I'm fashionable! So head to your makeup counter and check out the new looks. Origins is one choice, but I've seen great colors from Aveda, Club Monaco, Clinique, and MAC. So take a chance and go naked! I promise you won't get arrested for indecent exposure.--B.B. Pampering your Pooch... I have heard that in some parts of the U.S., there are actually places where you can take your dog and all its doggie friends out for a party at a place with dog-sized tables, gourmet dog-food, etc. Hey, if you love your dog that much, why not? I just shiver when I think of how
expensive such an outing would be. In the spirit of treating the
one you love to the best, Burt's Bees products offers a little kit
for a sort of dog-spa day. With trial sizes of some of their best dog
products, you can see which ones your pal loves best before buying
the full-sized things. Once you've tried them, get the full-sized
deal here (doorcounty
commerce.com). You'll find some Burt's Bees products for cats, too! Until you go
for the full deal, you can find the trial-kit here. Perhaps you can
throw a dog-party of your own at home, and offer these as party
favors? --B.B.

Stories about these beautiful tins and their delectable contents are popping up all over. I found at least 3 sites that offer Perfumeria's lip balms in their cute little tins. I'm waiting for my order of violet ones, since that is my absolutely favorite flower. If you're somewhat less decisive, try the sampler tin (or buy it as a gift for a lip-chewing friend). It includes all their flavors: banana, apple, grapefruit, redcurrant, peach, violet, and spearmint. Take a look, or should that be lick?! Perfumeria Gal Lip Tins
